Tunde KELANI is Africa’s leading filmmaker. His films are not only smash hits at home, but also receive acclaim worldwide. His recent film, The Narrow Path, based on the popular novel “The Virgin” by Bayo Adebowale, tells the story of Awero, a young village girl who chooses between suitors - the clumsy hunter Odejimi and the effete rich man Lapade, but a haunting experience, expectations of family and culture turn her wedding night into a nightmare. Storm clouds gather as she is forced to walk a thin line between honor and shame, carrying the resourcefulness of African womanhood and the fate of communities in a fragile balance.
